Ken Dawson is a visionary leader that has established himself as a valued community and economic asset in the greater St. Francisville, Louisiana area.  After completing his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Southern University, Ken Dawson began a very accomplished career at the River Bend Nuclear Power Station were he worked for both Stone & Webster Engineering during the construction phase and later with Gulf States Utilities Company for plant start-up, testing and operation.

In the chemical industry, with Betz-Dearborn, Ken utilizes his skills as an Account Manager where he was responsible for over 2 million dollars in annual business.

Ken, and his wife Barbara, are the Founders and Owners of First Steps Christian Learning Center, and West Feliciana Health & Fitness Center.

Ken was ordained in the ministry in1989 and serves in a leadership capacity under Apostle Calvin Veal at God’s Children Worship Center, Port Allen, LA. Currently he severs as an Apostle to the marketplace and actively ministers to business and government leaders.

Ken was elected to Police Jury of West Feliciana Parish in January of 2008 and served four years as President of West Feliciana Parish. He now serves as Chief Executive Assistant to the Parish President of Ascension Parish.

Ken has been married for 31 years to Barbara Washington Dawson and have two boys, Destin (19) and Christian (17).

It is this combination of intelligence and leadership that keeps him in constant demand as a civic, economic and spiritual catalyst in his community.
